La piastre est la monnaie commune des États adhérents de la « Zone piastre » de l’Union Coopérative Micronationale Laurentienne (UCML). Les banques centrales des États adhérents sont chargées de l’application des dispositions monétaires conjointement avec la direction de la Zone piastre. Dans l’objectif de vérifier les travaux de la Zone piastre, le Collège Exécutif de l’UCML nomme un Vérificateur Externe, qui a pour rôle de vérifier la conformité de ses décisions et de faire des recommandations en cas de besoin.
Le critère principal de sélection pour le poste de Vérificateur Externe est que la personne doit être citoyen d'une micronation non membre de l'UCML et avoir une expérience professionnelle liée au milieu économique et financier. Depuis le 1er mai 2022, S.A.S Jean-Pierre IV d'Aigues-Mortes occupe ce poste. En plus de diriger sa micronation camarguaise, le prince a travaillé pendant de nombreuses années dans le milieu administratif, bancaire et économique. Il apporte donc une perspective crédible et critique sur le fonctionnement et les échanges de la Zone piastre.
The piaster is the common currency of the adherent states of the "Piaster Zone" of the Laurentian Micronational Cooperative Union (LMCU). The central banks of the member states are responsible for the application of the monetary provisions together with the director of the Piaster Zone. In order to verify the work of the Piaster Zone, the Executive College of the UCML appoints an External Auditor, whose role is to verify the compliance of its decisions and to make recommendations when necessary.
The main selection criteria for the position of External Auditor is that the person must be a citizen of a non-member micronation of the UCML and have professional experience related to the economic and financial sector. Since 1 May 2022, S.A.S Jean-Pierre IV of Aigues-Mortes has held this position. In addition to directing his Camargue micronation, the prince has worked for many years in the administrative, banking and economic sectors. He therefore brings a credible and critical perspective on the functioning and exchanges of the Piaster Zone.
